REPORT ON 26TH JANUARY, 73rdREPUBLIC DAY, 2022

The fervour of freedom was celebrated on the nostalgic occasion of this red letter day in our Vidyalaya premises with mirth and gaiety. The senior teachers of our Vidyalaya escorted our Principal Sir, Mn. Pravinji Joint General Secretary, VK Kanyakumari and Su. Meera didi Assam Prant Sanghatak, VK Kanyakumari to the school ground, where Respected Principal Sir and Mn. Pravin ji unfurled the tri-colour amidst resplendent crowd of students, teachers, Kendra dignitaries, and well wishers. With utmost proud the esteemed crowd sang the national anthem. It was followed by an electrifying speech by Mn. Pravinji which he highlighted our nation is born for its own development but for the welfare of the entire humanity. This nation based on the Sanatan Dharma which is the universal code of conduct. We need take our nation which Vivekananda envisioned earlier. After that the host of cultural events followed which included a patriotic song 'राष्ट्र की जय चेतना का गान वंदे मातरम्' by our respected teachers. Finally the occasion was concluded with a vote of thanks by our respected Principal Sir followed by Shanti Mantra.

NATIONAL YOUTH DAY

12TH JANUARY, 2022

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh celebrated The National Youth Day in the school premise maintaining all the Covid-19 protocol. The school celebrates the day as its Annual Day, a cultural extravaganza giving exposures to the budding artists every year. Unlike every year the program was brief but felicitous.

The program started with Mangalacharan followed by a Floral tribute at the feet of Swamiji and Bharatmata. A borgeet was performed by the music teacher Smt.Pranamika Bordoloi and Sri Manik Ch. Borah. The Bharatnatyam was presented with all its fervor by the students of class 8 and 9. Needless to say the way Satriya dance was savored by everyone present in the hall. The folk dance by girls students was also awesome. The “entwined twins”(jugal bandi) was by two students of 11 and 12 heralded the prized possession of cultural root. The fusion of piano and flute was cherished even after the program was over.

The Principal, Sri Ravindranath D. Savdeykar extended an articulated and thought provoking speech. He appealed everyone the importance of introspection and unselfish service for the cause of society and the satisfying result out of the service irrespective of its amount. At last but not the least Vice Principal R.M.Thakre offered vote of thanks.

The event ended with Shanti Mantra.

 ANNUAL SPORTS WEEK 2021-22

The 4 -day sports meet  began with a bang with the welcoming of the Chief Guest and Principal sir escorted by the school band. The school choir presented a group song after their welcome. After which the chief guest Sri. Hrishikesh  Gogoi, Chief Coach at Jnanadayini Table Tennis Academy and VKV Dibrugarh Alumni and VKSPV secretary Dr. Sobharani Sarmah accompanied by Principal sir and the school band went for a round of inspection of  the March past troops.

Our Chief Guest hoisted  the Sports Flag after which the five contingents with their troops proceeded for March past. Marching on accompanied by the school band, each troop headed by two leaders each, one with the flag and the other with the placard bearing the name of their class dressed in traditional attire.

This was followed by oath ceremony, led by the commander of the Troops, Kr. Mousam  Prayas Changmai.

Chief Guest, Sri Hrishikesh Gogoi gave a wonderful speech motivating the students and declared the sports meet open. He owns one of the topmost academy, the only academy in Assam that trains differently abled children in table tennis.

He shared an anecdote of one of the students in his academy who was rejected everywhere due to a missing arm was allowed a chance to get trained in his training academy. He is now a National champion. What he wanted to tell the students is that if the disabled boy could get training and become a National Champion then anyone who is sincerely dedicated towards his dream can.

Kum. Sneha and Kr. Niharjyoti, two of our school’s top sports performers ran around the field with the torch to mark the light of spirit, knowledge and life and jointly lit the Krida Jyoti.

The meet was open for sport activities and Vice Principal Thakre sir gave the vote of thanks.

It was an extravagant show with sport events and cultural programme happening side by side.

Students took part in shot put, running race, relay, long jump etc.

On the last day of the sports meet, prize distribution ceremony was held.

 COVID-19 VACCINATION CAMP FOR STUDENTS


A COVID-19 vaccination camp was organized at VKV Dibrugarh on 05/01/2022 for the students of classes IX to XII. 

A government doctor and a team of para-medical staff administered the vaccine to over 216 students during the camp. Awareness was created among the students and the safety measures were taken.

KALPATARU DIWAS 2021


Students and teachers gathered for the school assembly to observe Kalpataru Diwas. Principal sir spoke on the significance of the day.

Devotees and followers of the Ramakrishna Mission believe that, whatever is prayed for on this day will be bestowed upon.

Our vidyalaya too celebrates Kalpataru Diwas on 1st of January every year and a mass prayer is conducted in the morning assembly.

One of the teachers shared a story of a social worker, Birubala Rabha who worked towards the upliftment of the women of Assam and Meghalaya. The activist has been campaigning against witchcraft and witch-hunting in her home state Assam, fighting for the cause for more than 15 years now by appearing at public forums. She was honoured with the Padma Shri award on 25th January, 2021.

After the assembly students played games and were engaged in subject related activities. Teachers performed Bharat Mata Aarti and offered floral tribute to Sri Ramkrishna Paramhansa.
