Felicitation for Class XII/AISSCE Examination, 2017

Felicitation for Class XII/AISSCE Examination (Session 2016-2017) on 30th May, 2017


 

Six toppers of Science and Commerce including subject toppers were felicitated in the presence of Smt. Laya Maduri, DC of Dibrugarh District, Sri Rajkumar Agarwala, CA & VMC Member of the Vidyala, Sri Ashim Dutta, noted lawyer & activist, Smt. Gunjan Saharia, Principal of Shree Agrasen Academy. The Principal welcomed the parents and the toppers. The toppers expressed their gratitude towards the teachers, administration and the principles of Vidyalaya. Smt. Laya Maduri, DC of Dibrugarh District urged the students to keep their values intact under direct circumstances in the future.

AISSCE, 2017 Result (Class XII)

AISSCE, 2017 Result (28th May, 2017)

It was a proud moment for Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh as students appearing in Class XII CBSE Board Examination also known as AISSCE (All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination), 2017 showed commendable performance. A total number of 70 students appeared from the Vidyalaya out of which 38 candidates had appeared for Commerce and  32 candidates for Science respectively. The total pass percentage (%) is 97.36% in Commerce and 100% in Science. Kr. Tanish Ghosh scored 93.40% in Science and Kum. Sumedha Agarwal scored 96.20% in Commerce stream, achieving the top positions in their streams respectively. 13 students in total scored above 90% aggregate from the Vidyalaya. The highest score of the subjects (Commerce) this year is Accountancy 95, Business Studies 97, Maths 97, English Core 95, Economics 99 and Informatics Practices 98.The highest score of the subjects in Science stream this year is Physics 95, Chemistry 92, Maths 95, Engish Core 95, Biology 98 and Computer Science 96.The Principal of the Vidyalaya, Sri Ravindranath D. Savdeykar is elated with the unexpected results of the students of the Vidyalaya. He has expressed his gratitude to the teaching staff, non-teaching staff, parents and well-wishers for their good wishes, guidance and able mentorship. Expressing his deep satisfaction he pointed out that the students of the Vidyalaya have brought remarkable feathers to the cap of the school and it is the outcome of the continuous hard work of the students and devotion of the teachers towards teaching. The Vice Principal of the Vidyalaya, Sri B.M Naidu in his message has also expressed extreme joy and extended his best wishes to the students and congratulated the parents.

Educational Trip to Majuli

An Educational Trip to Majuli 
(21st and 22nd May, 2017) 
A trip to Majuli was organized for the students of Class X. Smt. Jyotsna Devi, Smt. Deepa Bora and Sri Manoj Kumar teachers of VKV Dibrugarh accompanied a team of 39 students and one paren. The visited the five satras – Dakshinpat, Samuguri Satra, Gormukh Satra, Kamalabari Satra and Aaunuti Satra. The students loadged at Gormukh Satra and interacted with various apostolate and pontiffs to understand the Vaishnavite culture. They also met Dr. Hemakanta Goswami, who is trying to propagate to ancient mask culture of Majuli. At last, the students visited VKV Majuli.

A Book Fair was organized for the students of the Vidyalaya by Scholastic Publishing House. The book fair evoked a positive response from the students and teachers. The Book Fair continued from 15th to 17thMay, 2017.

Personality Development Camp, 2017

Personality Development Camp 
(9thto 13th May, 2017)

  
Vyaktitva Vikash Shibir was held from 9th to 13th May, 2017 for the students of Class VI (2017-2018) in which trainings are given to the students on Yoga, chanting Slokas, geet abhyas etc. Mananeeya Aparna Palkar Didi, All India Vyavasta Pramukh, VK Kanyakumari addressed the students on the topic “Our Ideal Mananiya Eknathji Ranade” founder of Vivekananda Kendra. 


The other resource persons attended the camp were Dr. Manas who shared the topic on “Indian Culture” to the students, Smt. Rajkumari Sharma, TGT, VKV Dibrugarh guided the students on the topic “Vidyalaya Prathana”. 


The total number of participants was 97. On 13th May, 2017 was the Valedictory programme where parents of the Class VI students were invited. Total parents were 50. Valuable speech and word of motivation by the chief guest Smt. Kunjalata Deori, sharing of experience by participants on shibir, various skit stage presentation by the students, yoga presentation, song and jyoti sangeet by the students in front of chief guest parents. 

There was parents experience sharing and suggestion and comments. Programme concluded with “Vote of Thanks” and speech by Principal Sri Ravivdranath D. Savdeykar and pushpanjali by everyone.

Class XI - Science and Commerce (2017-2018) started from 12th May, 2017

Session begin for Class XI 

(Science and Commerce)

The present session (2017-2018) of Class 11 started with the brief programme of introduction of the students of both Science and commerce on 12thMay, 2017. The programme started at 8 am in the Sanskriti Sabhagriha where Smt. Sanchita Mazumder, PGT, VKV Dibrugarh gave a welcome address followed by the Vice Principal, Sri B.M.Naidu narrating the DO’s and Don’t’s of the Vidyalaya. The teachers also introduced themselves to the students. The programme concluded with the speech of Principal, Sri Ravindranath D. Savdeykar, the background of Vivekananda Kendra and Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas and the history behind the construction of the Rock Memorial. 47 students from Science and 32 students from Commerce attended the programme.

Rabindra Jayanti celebrated on 8th May, 2017

Rabindra Jayanti (8th May, 2017)  

Rabindra Jayati was observed on 8th May, 2017 (Monday) in the morning assembly though the actual date of the observation was 7thMay, 2017 (Sunday). Kum Rishija Bagaria of Class XII Commerce gave a speech on the life and works of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. A similar speech was given in the secondary assembly on the literary creations of the immortal bard.
